Event Schedule

Join us for the official Tiny Whoop Australian Championships event.

Day 1

Setup crew will be on-site from 0900am. The venue itself is not open. If you’ve arrived early, chill out at a nearby cafe like Double Shot and enjoy a coffee.

The doors open at 1100am. Make your way into the venue through the front doors and you’ll find the hall on your left. Saturday will be qualifying all day, there will be a maximum of 12 heats in total which will be split into 2x groups of 6.

Group 1 will be qualifying for approximately 10 packs from 1200pm through to about 1630pm.
Group 2 will be qualifying for the same number of packs, starting from 5pm. The venue closes at 2200pm.

The venue seats 350~ and should fit everyone comfortably but for etiquette to fellow pilots please try to pack your drones and gear once you are done qualifying to ensure sufficient table space for pilots in the other group. There are plenty of other seating areas outside of the hall and there is a bar open all day.

Heats will be shuffled at the end of the day to match the qualifying leaderboard and prep for finals.

Day 2

Sunday starts at the same time for all pilots, 1100am. Everyone will be regrouped based on seeding order to prepare for the finals. Everyone will get 1 final qualifying / warm up pack in the morning (perhaps 2, depending on final pilot count) in preparation for the elimination brackets.

The finals will be a combination of the 16 pilot double elimination format and the bump up format.

Starting with the bottom of the qualifying leaderboard, a double elimination finals format plays through. The top 4 pilots in any of the lower brackets will then bump-up into the following elimination bracket and continue on with a fresh group of 12 new pilots until we reach the A main group.

A main will consist of pilots ranked 1 - 12 + the top 4 of the B main
B main will consist of pilots ranked 13 - 24 + the top 4 of the C main C main will consist of pilots ranked 25 - 36 + the top 4 of the D main D main will consist of pilots ranked 37 - 48 + the top 4 of the E main E main will consist of pilots ranked 49 - 64
